As part of our Joint Funding Agreement with the Kentucky Department of Local Government, BRADD offers grant writing and application review, as well as project administration services.

Community Development Block Grants

The CDBG program aims to provide assistance to communities for use in revitalizing neighborhoods, expanding affordable housing and economic opportunities, providing infrastructure and/or improving community facilities and services.

Land & Water Conservation Funds

Provides funds to protect important natural areas, acquire land for outdoor recreation and to develop or renovate public outdoor recreation facilities such as campgrounds, picnic areas, sports & playfields, swimming facilities, boating facilities, fishing facilities, trails, natural areas and passive parks.

Division of Waste Management Grants

DWM has several grant programs including funds for: Rubber Modified Asphalt; Crumb Rubber; and Recycling,  Household Hazardous Waste, and Composting Projects.

Appalachian Regional Commission Grants

ARC invests in activities that address the five goals identified in the Commission’s strategic plan: Economic Opportunities, Ready Workforce, Critical Infrastructure, Natural & Cultural Assets, and Leadership & Community Capacity.

Recreational Trails Grant Program

Funds can be used to provide assistance for acquisition of easements, development and/or maintenance of recreational trails and trailhead facilities for both motorized and non-motorized use.

USDA Rural Development Community Facilities Program

USDA’s Community Facilities Programs offer direct loans, loan guarantees and grants to develop or improve essential public services and facilities in communities across rural America.

Economic Development Authority Grants

Helps distressed communities revitalize, expand, and upgrade their physical infrastructure to attract new industry; encourage business expansion; diversify local economies; and generate or retain long-term, private-sector jobs,

EPA Brownfield Assessments

Assessment Grants provide funding for a grant recipient to inventory, characterize, assess, conduct a range of planning activities, develop site-specific cleanup plans, and conduct community engagement related to brownfield sites.

FEMA: Hazard Mitigation Grant Program

Helps communities implement hazard mitigation measures following a Presidential Major Disaster Declaration.

FEMA: Assistance to Firefighters Grant

Aims to meet the firefighting and emergency response needs of fire departments and nonaffiliated emergency medical service organizations.

KY 911 Service Board

For the establishment and improvement of E911 services, incentives to create more efficient E911 delivery, and improvement of 911 infrastructure by wireless carriers.

FEMA: Pre-Disaster Mitigation Program

For projects to be implemented before disaster strikes to ensure that communities are protected and resilient.

KY Office of Homeland Security

Funds will be used to purchase law enforcement, fire, and emergency services equipment and to bolster law enforcement special operations capabilities

Law Enforcement Protection Program

Provides grants for body armor, duty weapons, ammunition, electronic-control devices, electronic-control weapons or electronic-muscular disruption technology, and body-worn cameras to sworn peace officers and service animals
