The Board of Directors of the Barren River Area Development District (BRADD) are pleased to announce the call for nominations for the 2018 Tim Lee Carter Distinguished Service Award to be presented at our annual meeting in September. In 1980 the award was established to honor the extraordinary services of the Congressman and physician from Monroe County, Dr. Tim Lee Carter, for his support of the BRADD in achieving its goals of:

Progress in economic development
Progress in social improvement
Progress in improving local governments
Progress in improving environmental or cultural quality of life.

Distinguished service is defined to be exceptional activities beyond the normal performance of compensated duties. The recipient must be or have been a resident of one of the ten counties in the BRADD region. The services may have been performed in the past.  Current BRADD Board Members, Special Advisors and Staff are ineligible for nomination.
