Hazard Mitigation Meeting for Edmonson County Kentucky

September 27 th, 2004

Time of Meeting: 8:15 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Mr. Jack Eversole opened the meeting by describing the goal and purpose of the meeting and emphasizing the importance of community participation.

Other Barren River Area Development personnel in attendance were Alfonso Casana and staff intern Jill Giannini. Jill gave a presentation regarding natural disasters and the threats they can pose in the future and the death and destruction they have caused in the past. Jill also gave an overview of the website and explained how to contact Hazard Mitigation Team Members on an individual basis utilizing the website links.

Ten members of the community attended the meeting including the County Judge/Executive.

The meeting concluded with questions from the guests in attendance.
