The Regional Hazard Mitigation Planning Council met Thursday, December 8, in the Barren River Conference Center , with Chairman Gary Madison presiding.

Those attending included members of the Council, locally elected officials, interested citizens, including some with business interests other agencies, tv and print news reporters and Dr. Stuart Foster, State Climatologist, who oversaw much of the data development relating to weather hazards. The draft of the Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan and extracted maps were available for review.

Chairman Madison invited those present to examine and question any parts of the plans. BRADD Services Coordinator Jack Eversole, Project Director Alfonso Casana, and intern Shawn Simpson were available to help locate various items in the multi-page plan.

Comments and observations were noted to complete revisions before submission of the Plan for final review. Following this, Chairman Madison thanked those attending and noted that the document could be reviewed further and comments entered electronically through the

BRADD website.
