Hazard Mitigation Meeting for Logan County Kentucky

October 7, 2004

Time of Meeting: 3:00 p.m. to 3:40 p.m.

Mr. Jack Eversole opened the meeting by describing the goal and purpose of the meeting and emphasizing the importance of community participation.

Other Barren River Area Development personnel in attendance were staff interns Brian Youpatoff, Jill Giannini, and Nick Robbins. Nick gave a presentation regarding natural disasters and the threats they can pose in the future and the death and destruction they have caused in the past and Brian gave an overview of the website and explained how to contact Hazard Mitigation Team Members on an individual basis utilizing the website links. Jill distributed sign in sheets and took a record of the meeting.

Eleven members of the community attended the meeting including the Mayor, E.M. Director, and several representatives from various fire departments. The meeting concluded with questions from the guests in attendance. Records Administrator
