Hazard Mitigation Meeting for Simpson County Kentucky

October 28 th, 2004

Time of Meeting: 4:00 p.m. to 4:40 p.m.

Mr. Jack Eversole opened the meeting by describing our goals and purpose and emphasizing the importance of community participation.

Other Barren River Area Development personnel in attendance were Mr. Alfonso Casana and staff interns Brian Youpatoff and Nick Robbins. Nick gave an overview of the website and explained how to contact Hazard Mitigation Team Members on an individual basis utilizing the website links and Brian gave a presentation regarding natural disasters and the threats they can pose in the future and the death and destruction they have caused in the past.

10 members of the community attended the meeting including the County Judge/Executive and the Mayor.

The meeting concluded with questions from the guests in attendance.
