Hazard Mitigation Meeting for Metcalfe County Kentucky

October 12th, 2004

Time of Meeting: 10:05 to 10:40

Mr. Jack Eversole opened the meeting by describing our goals and purpose and emphasizing the importance of community participation.

Other Barren River Area Development personnel in attendance were staff interns Brian Youpatoff and Jill Giannini. Brian gave an overview of the website and explained how to contact Hazard Mitigation Team Members on an individual basis utilizing the website links and Jill gave a presentation regarding natural disasters and the threats they can pose in the future and the death and destruction they have caused in the past.

Thirteen members of the community attended the meeting including the County Judge/Executive. The meeting concluded with questions from the guests in attendance.
