MISSION STATEMENT
The Barren River Area Development District is resolved to
develop a Hazard Mitigation Plan to reduce economic loss and enhance personal
safety from those natural phenomena to which the region is vulnerable.
GOAL
The Goal is
the development of a Plan. The Plan is
a cooperative effort of the Federal Emergency Management Administration, the
Kentucky Division of Emergency Management, the Kentucky Climate Center, the
Barren River Area Development District Board of Directors and the members of
its functional committees and councils. The Plan will be incorporated into the
Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy process to insure coordination and
continuous development.
