The most noted feature of the county is MAMMOTH CAVE, the largest cave system in the world; it is a 51,000-acre national park (much of it in the county).
The landmark has ensured economic prosperity for the region. In 1988 tourism in Edmonson County accounted for more than $39 million in revenue and
