ROSE AWARD

   During the 2007 Aging and Independent Living Conference held at the Galt House in Louisville, Kentucky on September 5th-7th   Governor, Ernie Fletcher honored   Mrs. Carol Dunn with the first annual Rose Award, which was given by The Kentucky Department of Aging and Independent Living’s, Commissioner Deborah Anderson. The award was named after Commissioner Anderson’s Grandmother who raised her. The award is given in recognition of a grandparent who is raising grandchildren and making a significant contribution through their role as a grandparent caregiver in the aging network.  The Barren River Family Caregiver Support Program nominated Mrs. Dunn for her many years of outstanding involvement with the Barren River Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Program.
