2006 CEDS Update Adopted

The BRADD Board adopted the 2006 Update of the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) at their September 25 meeting.  The CEDS serves as a guide to strengthen the regions economy.  Through analysis of the economy and review of opportunities and weaknesses, goals and objectives are established to channel local resources towards the further development and diversification of the economy.

The Board will direct the total rewrite of the CEDS during the upcoming year since the last full development of the CEDS was in 2002.  The process next year will incorporate changes to meet new Economic Development Administration (EDA) requirements.  The Plan will be more outcome based and will include increased input by the private sector.

The Update can be found by going to www.bradd.org and then clicking on 2006 CEDS Update on the homepage.  In addition to the 2006 Update you can also access the original 2002 CEDS Plan and other annual updates.
