Emotional Well-Being and Mental Health Educational Series

  The Barren River Mental Health and Aging Coalition received a grant to conduct an Emotional Well-Being and Mental Health Education Series of trainings in rural Kentucky . These trainings are geared towards the elderly and aging population and those taking care of them. It is the goal of the Coalition for these trainings to provide valuable information and resources to all those in attendance. The first training will be held in Franklin, KY at the Franklin Housing Authority, 1301 Crestmore Dr. on Monday April 7th at 9:00 am. The second training will be held in Horse Cave at the Horse Cave Housing Authority on Thursday April 17th at 9:00 am. The main speaker at both trainings will be Lisa R. Durham Ph.D., Director; Institute for Rural Health Development and Research; Western KY University. Doug Bradley will also be there, representing Life Skills, to give an overview of services offered.
