Approximately 300 individuals participated In the Get Health Seniors Conference

Fit and Healthy 2007

The Barren River Aging Network presented “Get Healthy Seniors” conference, health screenings and exhibits on May 30, 2007 at the Cave City Convention Center.  The training was offered to seniors and disabled participants throughout the BRADD ten county area at no charge. Chris Corbin, Executive Director for the Governor’s Office of Wellness and Physical Activity presented, “Get Healthy Kentucky Seniors” during the lunch session.  Other training topics included:  “At Your Pace Fitness Program”, “Stress Management”, “Cancer Prevention/Early Detection”, “Nutrition and the Older Adult”, “Diabetes Prevention and Management.”  Over 30 exhibits and health screenings were offered.  Approximately 300 individuals attended the Conference.
