The Local Workforce Investment Area conducted a Job Search Workshop on May 18, 2006 at the BRADD office. A test group of participants were invited to attend the workshop, and a roundtable discussion followed. The topics discussed included how to go about searching for employment, how to prepare a cover letter, resume, and thank you letter, and interviewing techniques. Those who attended were able to ask questions and provide information on what they would like to see added to future workshops. All of the participants stated during the roundtable discussion that they found the workshop to be very beneficial and informative. A separate workshop on resume writing skills is being planned for the near future.
