The Family Caregiver Support Program is excited to present “ Catch The Train To HealthyLiving Health Fair and Training Conference” on June 20, 2006 from 8am until 2pm at The L&N Depot Conference Center located at 177 Center Street Bowling Green, Kentucky. Family Caregivers and Grandparents Raising Grandchildren from across the 10 counties will be in attendance for the event. Also, the BRADD/AAA Family Caregiver Support Program is proud to announce that the Hart County Family Caregiver Support Group will be holding it’s 2 nd Annual Caregiver Appreciation Event at the Hart County Health Care Center June 21, 2006 from 3pm until 5pm. All Family Caregivers of the Elderly are invited to attend this Event.

Training Series for Grandparents offered

The BRADD/AAA Family Caregiver Support Program is also offering it’s 2 nd annual 8 Week Training Series for Grandparents who are raising their grandchildren. This group is unique because it also provides support and training for the grandchildren. Dr. Melissa Hakman . PhD. Associate Professor of Psychology from Western Kentucky University will be offering the training for the 8 week course which will be held at the Bowling Green Public Library State Street Location on Thursday evenings on June 8 th, 15 th, 22 nd, 29th and on July13 th and 20 th from 5:30pm until 7pm.
