The Medicare/Prevention Bus Tour has already visited a number of states to participate in community fairs, meetings with partnering organizations and senior centers to encourage eligible seniors to sign up for Medicare Part D benefits.

Medicare Bus Visits Smiths Grove The Medicare Bus arrived in Smiths Grove on December 5, 2007 at the Smiths Grove Public Library for the kick off open enrollment for the Medicare Part D Prescription Assistance Campaign in the Barren River Area Development District. The event was held to target low-income rural elderly. Kentucky Legal Aid, Barren River Area Agency on Aging, Social Security and Center for Medicare and Medicaid staff assisted seniors with information, assistance and on site sign up for their Medicare Part D. |
