The BRADD Regional Planning Council is joining Mammoth Cave National Park and the Mammoth Cave RC&D in sponsoring an important mapping project for all BRADD Counties. Lead by WKU’s Dr. Chris Groves, GIS/GPS maps will identify sensitive and vulnerable water resources.
These maps will provide a guide to local planners and developers.
Council members also are assisting University of Kentucky staff in developing an analysis of the potential for a Green River wildlife reserve focusing on early American native cultures, tourism, and research. The project would be located on the edge of Mammoth Cave National Park in Edmonson County. The research facility would serve Park staff in the Biosphere Reserve and Western Kentucky University.
