Monroe County WIA In School students recently presented Power Point presentations to the elementary students at Joe Harrison Carter Elementary school in Monroe County. WIA youth researched careers and prepared their presentations for the 4th and 5th grade classrooms. The elementary students were given information about salary and the necessary education needed for the career of their choice. This project was part of the leadership development component of the WIA Youth program. The elementary students were very excited about the different careers and asked many questions of the WIA youth. |
