More About WIA

Promoting safety to youth in the area is a key focus for the BRADD.  In addition to seatbelt surveys, safety audits, and education, BRADD staff also assisted with special events to reduce fatalities on area roads.  One of these events was the Edmonson County High School Birthday Bash.  This event targets high school students who have recently received, or will soon receive, their license to drive.  Topics included vehicle ownership and safety, the dangers of impaired driving, and the importance of seat belt usage.  The students received a first-hand look at what can happen to people who don’t wear their seat belts.
