INDIVIDUAL TRAINING ACCOUNTS FOR OLDER YOUTH (19-21)
The Local Workforce Investment Area (LWIA) has allocated funds to serve youth 19-21 years of age who reside within the 10 county BRADD area.  These funds must be used for tuition, books, and fees for post secondary education.  Services may be offered to youth who are deemed in need of financial assistance to complete or enter post secondary education in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.  The area of study must be a 2 year associate or degree program, or the youth must be in the remaining 2 years of their bachelor program.

As with most federal programs, funding is limited and is on a first come first serve basis.  The LWIA would like to ensure these funds are dispersed as evenly as possible throughout the ten-county area.  Our goal is to serve approximately 15 youth throughout the ten county BRADD region.  If interested please contact Tonya Mudd, WIA Case Manager for more information.
