More About WIA

This has been an extremely busy year for the Bowling Green/Warren County MPO.  The focal point of our work has been the completion of several important planning documents.  First of all, the Long Range Transportation Plan is a comprehensive document that addresses transportation issues for the area over a twenty-five year time period.  This planning document is a crucial tool to meet the challenges that strong growth will present to our area.  In addition to the Long Range Plan, we also completed the Transportation Improvement Program which seeks to implement short term goals.

We were also able to attend the Association of Metropolitan Planning Organizations’ (AMPO) annual conference in Colorado.  There we had the opportunity to interact with other MPO staff and learn about some of the challenges and solutions they had encountered.  The conference was both exciting and educational.
