36th Annual Meeting


Lowell Guthrie, founder of Trace Die Cast, Inc. receives 2004 Tim Lee Carter Award at the 36th BRADD Annual Meeting in June. Larry Cox, state director for Senator Mitch McConnell, made the presentation for the Board. Mr. Guthrie was honored for his services to the region reflecting goals of the BRADD.

The firm he started in 1988 had sales last year of more than $62 million and now employees more than 365.

In making the presentation, Mr. Cox noted the civic work performed by Mr. Guthrie including the Guthrie Bell Tower at Western Kentucky University, the new conference center for BRADD, and his leadership in area economic development.  
 
Mike Jennings Immediate Past Chairman, reported on the work of the citizen members of the BRADD who review nominations and select the recipients of the Tim Lee Carter Award. He noted that this is the first Award to be made since 2000.
